Farmer Support Resources
Countdown Mastitis Focus is easy to produce and easy to read
- and it's free!
The program uses standard industry files (Data Interchange
Format)
and even limited amounts of data will produce a meaningful and helpful report.
There are three main ways to get a report for your farm:

You may start to automatically
receive them from your herd improvement centre
as part of your test day reports

You can request a "full
DIF dump" from your HIO and then generate your own report by visiting
www.mastitisfocus.com.au

Some farm software programs are
now able to generate reports:
Mistro Farm - Go to "Reports" menu and select
"Mastitis Focus". This will generate the files and then open & load
the details into
www.mastitisfocus.com.au
Easy Dairy (2008 version) - export & zip DIF
files 101, 102, 103, 104, 107, 116, save them to your computer and visit
www.mastitisfocus.com.au
Dairy Data - a new version will be available
soon that will have the capability to enable Mastitis Focus reports to be
generated
If you use a
different package, it will need to be able to export the standard industry
DIF files : 101, 102, 103, 104, 107 & 116

to help you read and interpret your report as give you ideas on some actions
your might take. However, diagnosing problems and deciding the most
appropriate action to take is best done in consultation with a skilled adviser.
