Culling is an important tool - but costly. Culling alone rarely solves a serious mastitis problem.

When you make your culling list:

• Include all cows with three clinical cases in one lactation

• Include cows with cell counts above 250,000 cells/mL for two lactations

• Check which bug is responsible - will it respond to Dry Cow?
