In each lactation, cows will spend somewhere between 50 and 100 hours with
milking machines attached to their udders. Thus, the milking process and the
milking machines have a huge opportunity to contribute to the spread of mastitis
in a herd.
Regular testing and maintenance should be part of every herd manager’s risk
