Farm Guidelines

The Farm Guidelines are published in a 120 page manual that help farmers get and keep premium payments. They include: what to do; why; how; how to check.

Technotes

The Technotes are published in a loose leaf binder. They provide technical support to, and scientific justification for the Farm Guidelines.

Farm Presentation Kit

This seminar series introduces farmers and their milking staff to the Countdown Downunder program and offers practical information and tips for mastitis control. I t is designed for use by any farm advisers who have participated in the “Countdown Downunder Adviser Seminars”

The Presentation Kit comprises 7 farm seminar modules suitable for use together or separately and totalling about six hours of seminar time.

Participants are encouraged to go on to the Farmer Short Courses if they wish to develop a deeper understanding of mastitis control.

The Presentation Kit is available in several forms:

  • The Farm Master Kit comprises a full set of 100 overheads and notes pages plus a PowerPoint version on CD-ROM;
  • The Farm Starter Kit comprises a full set of notes, a sample set of 20 overheads (usually module 2 – Biology of mastitis and the teat end) and the PowerPoint version on CD-ROM;
  • The Farm CD Kit comprises a full set of notes, a single overhead and the PowerPoint version on CD-ROM;
  • The Farm Flip-chart Kit is designed for smaller presentations, eg at smoko in the dairy shed, the flip-charts are A3 copies of the overheads and notes presented in a freestanding easel binder. The flip-charts are supplied as a full set in an A3 binder, with a separate easel binder for presentation of individual modules.
